Concept Korea is a collaborative project to promote Korean fashion designers and assist them in their attempts to break into the U.S. fashion market. Concept Korea is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea and the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA).
This season, the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) proudly presents two women’s wear designers.
LIE emphasizes on “Every Day Wear Luxury with a Twist” which adds its own twist of innovative design elements and details to a beautiful contemporary line. The signature tailoring, combined with an experimental use of various fabrics, highlights the brand’s vision. LIE collection offers well-made clothing at a contemporary price point. The style can be described as new minimalism where minimal New York-style meets Parisian avant-garde twist. Designer Chung Chung Lee graduated at Central Saint Martins and has been continuously presenting collections. The line is available at department stores and specialty boutiques across Asia, Europe and the U.S. including New York’s Meatpacking District.
GREEDILOUS’s overall collection theme conveys a futuristic style woman with a professional career portraying a styling concept named “Futuristic Modernity”. Especially, the designer utilizes intricate silhouettes with strong visuals while keeping focus on a delicate details and a kaleidoscope of pattern. Since 2009, designer Younhee Park has been showcasing her label at Seoul Fashion Week, and she has been re-selected for Concept Korea from past seasons. The line is available in the U.S., France, Hong Kong, China, Mexico and the Middle East and became popular among K-pop and Hollywood celebrities.
